Lindsay Trembulak passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 6, 2026. She was 40 years old.

Born and raised in Montclair, Lindsay graduated in 2004 from Montclair High School where she was a member of the Civics and Government Institute and a proud member of MHS’ first crew team. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and later obtained a master’s degree from The College of New Jersey.

Lindsay was employed by RWJ Barnabas Health where she was a Project Manager responsible for implementation and training for the Epic electronic health record software program. Outside of work, Lindsay was passionate about watching and cheering for her children Brooke and Michael at each of their sporting events. She loved to attend Rutgers Football games with Michael and the kids. She exercised fiercely and prioritized all-inclusive healthy living: mentally, emotionally physically and spiritually. Lindsay enjoyed experimenting with new cooking recipes for her family and creating desserts to wow Brooke and Michael. She celebrated her Catholic faith weekly at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville and practiced this faith daily.

To calm her mind, Lindsay enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and mental games such as Tetris. She enjoyed binge watching a new suspense series, watching a documentary about an interesting person to understand how they think, or a comedy to make her laugh. Lindsay had an infectious laugh which was a delight to hear. She loved being outside to work on her golden glow and she cherished long summer days at the Jersey Shore with her family.

Above all else, Lindsay loved her family. Nothing brought her more joy than caring for Brooke and Michael, and spending time with her niece and nephews. She was fiercely independent, determined, strong minded and courageous – qualities she demonstrated every day throughout her 3½ -year battle for rehabilitation following a stroke in 2022. Surrounded by the love and support of her family, Lindsay faced each challenge with remarkable strength, grace and resilience until the very end. Her fighting spirit, perseverance and love for those closest to her will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Lindsay is survived by her devoted and loving husband Michael Buchanan and their children Brooke and Michael, who Lindsay adored, her parents Alan Trembulak and Celia Trembulak, her stepmother Laura, her loving sisters Jennifer, Lauren and Kelsey, and her cherished nephews and niece, William, Ryan and Maddie Irving.
