Lester Pittenger, husband of the late Irene (Miesowitz) Pittenger, died September 14. Mr. Pittenger was born in Pattenburg to Frank and Lizzie (Cochran) Pittenger in 1918 and has resided in Bridgewater since 1939. He retired in 1981 after 40 years with American Cyanamid as a maintenance mechanic. An Army Veteran of WW II, Mr. Pittenger served as a Sergeant during campaigns in Central Europe. Surviving are his daughter Janet Bondira, his son Lester Pittenger Jr., a granddaughter Catharine Jones and a great grandson Arley. Visitation will begin 10am on Friday, September 18, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville and conclude with a Prayer at 11am followed by an interment at Union Cemetery at Grandin in Pittstown.
