Leisa Elizabeth Glispy

October 19, 1966 — October 7, 2022

Leisa Elizabeth Glispy, 55, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on October 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, she went on to graduate from General McLane High School in Edinboro, PA. Leisa was academically gifted and entered into college at the age of fifteen, receiving her undergraduate degree from University of Gainesville Florida. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Ecommerce she worked for Armstrong Corporation, Waterford Wedgewood, and most recently, Brother International.

Leisa had a passion for fashion, and received her second Bachelor’s Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Like anything she put her mind to, she gained as much knowledge as possible and was noted in the Who’s Who in American Retail. She was always current with fashion publications and excelled in fashion retail online. She began her own online fashion retail company, Collective Meaning, where she focused on filling the void in the plus size community. Leisa grew up with a love of New York City which transcribed into adulthood as a contributor to the Metropolitan Opera and Harlem Dance Theatre where she enjoyed performances. She was known for her intellectual wit and incredible sense of humor and will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Surviving are her loving mother, Carolgene Williams, her father James Edmond Glispy, her dear brother Ian James Glispy, as well as many extended family, colleagues, and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in Leisa’s memory to a cancer research charity of your choice.
