Lane Sue Britten

June 7, 1957 — April 17, 2025

Lane Sue Britten, nee Le Vine, 67, died peacefully on April 17, 2025 surrounded by the love of her Husband and Daughter.


Born in Paterson and raised in Fairlawn, she went to live in Key West Florida, where she graduated high school. Lane was a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. She began working for PBS and MTV followed by Prudential Life Insurance doing graphic design, before beginning her impressive career in illustrative consulting. She consulted with McKinsey & Company, IBM, AT&T and Motorola before spending time consulting with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Lane’s passion for art was seen in all she did and especially translated into illustrated professionalism for major companies. Upon her retirement, she went back to her passions for pottery and painting.


Lane loved Mother Earth. She was an advocate for the environment and was always active in her role to make our planet better. She was on her local environmental commission and worked hard to focus on a greener future.


She was preceded in death by her dear mother, Rita L. Curley and her loving brother, Daniel I. LeVine.


Surviving are her loving husband Peter Morrow Britten, her cherished daughter Dominique Wilkinson and husband Cody, her dear father Howard I. Le Vine and wife Rita, her dear sister Vicki Love and nephew Joshua, her step-brother Daniel Koren and nephews David and Steven, as well as her extended family and dear friends.


A Celebration of her life is being planned for the beginning of June 2025.
