John passed away peacefully on January 31, 2014. John was born to Juan and Rafaela Gonzalez on September 16, 1944. Born in Puerto Rico, the family moved to New York City when John was 5. John served in the US Army before settling in Somerville in 1964.

He worked in Retail Management including being one of the founders of the first video rental stores in NJ. John is predeceased by his loving wife Lillian who passed away November 30, 2013. Together now in Heaven, they will celebrate 50 years of marriage on March 7th.

John is survived by his four loving children John Scott, David, Deanna and Mateo and four loving grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, beginning at 7pm and concluding with a Celebration of Life at 8:30pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville.
