Josephine Hoch Furlong passed away peacefully at home in Bridgewater, NJ on June 13th, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Edith Hoch and her parents Andrew Robert Hoch
and Mary Dugan Hoch, and her husband Gerard Robert Furlong who died in 2003.

Josephine was born and home delivered on March 19th, 1921 in North Branch, NJ. She is survived by three children-Andrew Robert Furlong of Bridgewater, NJ,
Edith Mary Sylvester and husband John Donald Sylvesterof Manville, NJ, Kathleen Bovino and husband David Bovino of Greenville, Pa. six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Mrs. Furlong was a Somerville High School graduate class of 1938 and St. Peters Nursing School Graduate class of 1941. She worked most all of her life
as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery for both St. Peter’s Hospital, now Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ and for Somerset Hospital in Somerville, NJ, now Robert Wood Johnson at Somerset,retiring in 1984. She also worked for John L. Spaldo M.D in Somerville as his nurse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am onTuesday, June 16, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Bridgewater. Visiting hours from 5pm-8pm on Monday, June 15, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
