Josephine Filepp, 93, of Bridgewater, passed away on January 29, 2014. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Josephine resided in Bridgewater for 50 years.

Josephine was employed by the Greyhound Bus Terminal in New York City and managed the travel bureau. She was also a secretary for Research Cottrell in Somerville and executive secretary at Carrier Clinic in Skillman.

Josephine was involved in scouting as den mother for the cub scouts and was also a Girl Scout brownie leader. She was a founding member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 507 in Bridgewater. She served as a volunteer for the Somerset County Rutgers Extension Service. Josephine was an active member of the Circle of Friends at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, as well as the Bridgewater Seniors Club in Bridgewater. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, and entertaining for family and friends. Josephine was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed watching all the games. She enjoyed Mah Jong, bowling, and playing card games, especially Spider Solitaire. She was a long time parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville.

Her husband, George Filepp, Vice President of Komline Sanderson Engineering Corporation, predeceased her in 1987. Surviving is her son, George Edward Filepp of Bridgewater. Her daughter, Jeanne Marie Magliaro and her husband, Lou, of Neshanic Station. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Matthew Magliaro, Jennifer Magliaro, and Jessica Magliaro.
Visitation on Wednesday, February 5, from 5pm-8pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Thursday, February 6, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Internment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Somerville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
