Joseph J. Sunder, son of the late Michael C. and brother of the late ,Michael J. Sunder, died June 27 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. Joseph was born in Somerville and grew up in Bridgewater before moving to Frenchtown 30 years ago. He owned and operated JJ Sunder Inc. in Frenchtown, a quality restoration company for businesses and private homes.

Joe was dedicated to his family, caring and generous to all who knew him. At the Baptistown Post Office he was known as "APO Joe". for the many care packages sent to soldiers and the canine corps through the Michael J. Sunder Project, named after his late brother that Joe and his family began. Surviving are his mother Joyce Ann Walker, his brother James, a niece Courtney and grand niece Mia, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

​Visiting hours from 5pm-8pm on Friday, July 1, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Saturday, July 2, at the Holy Trinity Church, Maple St., Bridgewater. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
