Joseph A. Puma, husband of the late Dorothy Puma, died April 8 at RWJ University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Mr. Puma was born in Carbondale, PA and resided in Manville for over 40 years. He was employed at Johns-Manville (JM) for many years. An Army Air Force Veteran of WW II, Joe served in the the battles of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and the European African Middle Eastern Campaigns and was awarded a Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Christ the King Church in Manville, the Christ the Redeemer Parish. Surviving are his two daughters Donna Puma and Cynthia Tobin and her husband David and several nieces and nephews. Visiting will begin at 7:30am on Monday, April 15, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at the Christ the King Church, 211 Louis St., Manville. Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery, Route 28, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers,memorial donations can be made to Christ the King church, 211 Louis st., Manville, NJ 08835
