Joseph Charles Pecora died August 9 at home. He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY and has been a resident of Bridgewater for 60 years. Mr. Pecora retired from American Cyanamid, Bound Brook, in 1974 as head of their Group Insurance and Workmens Compensation Department. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 16 of Somerville and the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. He received his BS degree from Rutgers School of Business. Surviving are his wife Catherine (Rick) Pecora; his children Susan Soriano, Joseph, Kenneth, Matthew and Anthony Pecora. Also surviving are his 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Pecora was predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Rose , and siblings Philamina, Charles, Louis and Anthony. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 10am, Saturday, August 13 at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Bridgewater. Visiting hours are from 7pm to 9pm on Friday evening, August 12, at the funeral home.
