Jose A. Carcamo, “Beto” 65, died peacefully on September 29, 2023.
Born in Albornoz, Santa Rosa de Lima, La Union, El Salvador to Isabel Carcamo and Santos Joya, he immigrated to New Jersey in 1980. He married his beloved wife Anabela Boucha, and they resided in Elizabeth where they raised their family. Mr. Carcamo was a devoted Master Mason who owned and operated his own construction company ACG Construction. His skillset and craft showed in the noble work he did for decades. Beto was an emotionally strong person who was independent and self-made.
He was a Seventh Day Adventist and a proud American, although not born in America, he was blessed for the opportunity received by moving to America. Beto had a place in his heart for his home country of El Salvador and visited whenever he could. He enjoyed watching his soccer games and the New York Giants in American football while laying on the couch. Most of all, he enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Beto was a peaceful man who could bring laughter and light to anyone he met. He was devoted to his family, and selflessly always reassured them everything would be okay, even until the very end.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Anabela Carcamo, his loving son Alberto Carcamo, his adored grandson Jayden Carcamo, his dear step-daughter Maria Quiones and step granddaughter Aailyah Quiones.
