John C. Hardgrove died on December 30 at Somerset Medical Center. Son of the late Robert E. and Irene (Kovacs) Hardgrove, John was a life long resident of Somerville. He was a former employee for Somerset County Department of Transportation and Baker & Taylor in Somerville. John was a caring and sensitive young man who was both stouthearted and pious in his Catholic faith. Surviving are his brothers Robert E. Jr. (wife Barbara) and George (wife Donna) and his sister Patricia Buchinski (husband Michael) and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John at 9:30am on Tuesday, January 3 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Visiting hours are from 3pm to 6pm on Monday, January 2 at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Memorial donations may be made in John's memory to your favorite charity.
