John "Jack" Burke

John "Jack" Burke died Tuesday, August 18, at home. Jack was born in Somerville and had lived in California for more than 25 years while working as an Electronic Technician for Unisys Corporation before moving back to New Jersey. He has lived in Bridgewater since 2008. He was a 1974 graduate of Immaculata High School and then Devry Institute. His hobbies included electronics, computers, NASCAR and music especially playing his bass guitar. Jack was predeceased by his father, William (Bill) Burke in 1978, and his sister, Marianne, who died in 2008. Surviving are his mother Alice, his brothers Bill (wife Trisha Mitzak Burke) and Vince (wife Judy Mathieu Burke), 3 nephews and 2 nieces and many friends who benefited from his kindness and generosity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Saturday, August 22, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Interment at follow at church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack's memory to Immaculata High School, 240 Mountain Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876
