Joan Marie Fazekas, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson at Somerset in Somerville.

She was born, Joan Marie Granzetto in Raritan, NJ and attended St. Ann’s Grammar School and graduated from Somerville High School.

She met and married the love of her life, Joseph Fazekas in 1961. He built the family home in Somerville where they lived and raised their family. She stayed at home and raised her children, and later in life worked at Somerset Medical Center in the Admitting Office.

She is survived by her husband Joseph, her brother Terry and sister Cheryl; her children: daughter Jenifer Krunkosky her husband Tom, son Stephen his wife Mary Beth and son Anthony his wife Marketa; 7 Grandchildren: Madelyn, T.J., Rachel, Anna, Natalie, Daniella and Matthew.

Visitation will be held at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville on Sunday, April 12 from 2pm – 5pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joan's memory to the American Cancer Society.
