Jinghua Liu, 79, died peacefully on January 20, 2026.
Born in 1946, Jinghua came of age during a turbulent period in China’s history. Through perseverance and determination, he earned admission to a respected university, where he trained as a mechanical engineer and later worked as a director of a large metal machining workshop.
Jinghua devoted his life to his work and helping others. Known for his selflessness and generosity, he led by example with decency, integrity, and compassion. Colleagues and friends remember him as someone who could always be relied upon for guidance and support.
A dedicated practitioner of Qigong, Jinghua worked hard to overcome the health challenges of his youth and maintained an active, healthy life.
He began visiting the United States in the early 2010s and made it his home, becoming a permanent resident in 2022.
Jinghua is lovingly remembered by his wife, two sons, two grandchildren, and many others whose lives he touched. His legacy of perseverance, generosity, and strength will continue to live on in all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00am on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
Cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge.
