Jim Parascandola

Jim Parascandola, 64, died peacefully on September 5, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Donald Blaise and Jean Parascandola (nee

Brown), his family settled in Bridgewater where Jim attended Bridgewater High

School West where he graduated in 1981.

He went on to spend a thirty-year career with Somerset County in the Recycling

Department. Jim raised his children in South Bound Brook, Franklin Township but

resided for the majority of time in Bridgewater. Jim was involved with Bridgewater

Little League, enjoyed attending Somerville’s Cruise Night on Friday nights and

had a love of trains which included an expansive knowledge and collection. He

was especially a fan of the New York Mets.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean, by just six days. He joins her and

his father, Donald, in heaven with their extended family waiting.

Surviving are his loving children, Anthony and William Parascandola, his dear

siblings, Donna Redinger and husband Jim, Diane Cooper and husband Tom, and

Joe Parascandola and wife Stephanie. He is also survived by his nieces and

nephews, Brian and wife Brittney, Brittney and husband Anthony, Allison and

Danny, grand niece Maddie, as well as his extended family and friends including

his beloved dog, Aria.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00AM on Monday, September 8, 2025 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue Somerville.
