Beloved wife and mother, Jeanne Morey Hopkins, 54, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Rockville Centre, NY, Jeanne grew up in Somerville, NJ. In 1984, she graduated from Immaculata High School then earned a B.S. in Economics from Montclair State University.
In 1992, Jeanne married the love of her life, Hoppy. They settled down in Milford, NJ where they raised two amazing children. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family – catching up at the dinner table after a busy day, playing board games, watching movies together, or relaxing at their pool. She spent her free time gardening, crocheting, and watching television crime dramas.
Jeanne was a passionate supporter of the American Cancer Society. Beginning in 2010, she participated in Bridgewater’s Relay for Life and over the years took on a leadership role serving as team co-captain then captain. Having achieved All-Star status three years in a row, she was selected to speak at the 2019 event and was honored for her fundraising efforts during the half-time of a Rutgers football game. Most recently, ACS sent Jeanne to Super Bowl LV as a cardboard cutout spectator.
