Jean Van Riper, wife of the late Peter Van Riper who died March 13, 2012, died March 11 at Somerset Medical Center. Mrs. Van Riper was born in West Orange and resided in Somerville since 1958. She was a retired secretary for the law offices of Lieberman, Ryan & Forrest of Somerville having worked for the firm for many years. Her husband and she travelled to every state except Alaska and to Canada many times during their 54 years of marriage. Surviving are her daughters Amy Mondoro, husband Timothy and Beverly Van Riper and her three grandchildren. Visitation from 2pm-5pm on Sunday, March 16, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service at 10am on Monday, March 17, at the funeral home followed by the interment at New Cemetery, Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Somerville First Aid & Rescue Squad, 21 Park Ave., Somerville, NJ 08876
