Jean C Dean

Jean C. Dean, 96, died peacefully on July 9, 2022. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late Alexander and Jean Zakszewski, she was a graduate of Plymouth High School. She went on to marry the late James Dean and settled in Somerville, moved to Bridgewater and later moved to Branchburg New Jersey, where they raised their family. She worked for many years as a tour guide with the Duke Foundation, taking groups on the grounds to see the gardens. Jean enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially their trips to Europe and taking cruises. Jean was a past president of the Branchburg Seniors. She enjoyed the quality time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Dean in 2001. Surviving are her loving children Carol (Dean) Cappello, James Dean and wife Diane, her cherished grandchildren, Keith Cappello, Karen VanCleef and husband Robert, James M. Dean, Marissa Dean, Christopher Dean and fiancé Victoria Talbot, her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Kiersten, Kaitlynne. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 11:00-12:00AM at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville. Entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Mt.
