Janice P. Kuhn died peacefully on December 9, 2022 at the age of 94.
Janice was raised on a farm and lived in the historic John Field House in Piscataway with her parents and two sisters. She was a graduate of Piscataway High School, and went on to attend Middlesex General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. After graduating as a registered nurse, she went on to work for Dr. Kop.
She was an active member of The Presbyterian Church at Bound Brook where she taught Sunday School and met her husband, Russell Kuhn. The two married in 1956 and settled in Bridgewater, NJ. Janice and Russell shared a love for the outdoors, especially gardening. Janice enjoyed spending time on their back porch and watching the wildlife, especially birds and specifically her favorite bird, the cardinal, which was prominent in her home decor.
She loved her country. Janice was proud to be a Daughter of the American Revolution, Old White House-General Frelinghuysen-Colonel Lowrey Chapter.
In addition, she was active in the community. She was a member of the Somerville Civic League for over thirty years and served as its treasurer. She was also a member of the New Jersey State Eastern Star #100 Century Chapter where she served as a Grand Officer.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell in 1994, and her sisters Ruth Rix and Dorothy “Dot” Bollinger. Surviving are her loving daughters, Nancy DiGraziano and husband Joe, Carol Brown and husband Gerry, her grandchildren Diana (Paul), Dara (Steve), Daniel (Heather), Kurt (Lyndsi), Gerry (Sara), and her great-grandchildren Colin, Sean, Sal, Sianna, Sophia, Lily, Roark and Ellie.
