James Fucci, 2, died unexpectedly on September 8, 2023.
James was a lifelong resident of Manville, NJ. He died suddenly after an almost 3 year battle with hydrocephalus.
He is survived by his parents Diane (Cote) and Vincent Fucci of Manville, maternal grandparents Janet and Peter Cote of Mt. Laurel, NJ, paternal grandparents Mary Ann and Michael Fucci of Milton, DE and his loving godparents Trish Eosso (Mike, Owen, and Maddie) of Annandale, NJ and Mark Fiore (Anna and Derek) of Old Bridge, NJ. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and superheroes.
James’ second home was at The Learning Experience in Warren, NJ where he went to daycare. It was his favorite place to be with one of his favorite people, Stephanie Kearney.
James was cared for by many loving friends and family, but nothing compares to the care he received from the doctors, nurses, and therapists from St. Peter’s University Hospital’s NICU, PICU, and outpatient therapy and his therapists through the Early Intervention program.
James loved life, was always happy, had the best manners, and an infectious smile! Some of his favorite things included playing cars and trucks, reading, swimming, blowing bubbles, all things Sesame Street, and playing with his best friend Derek.
James hated being dressed up! Therefore, the family invites friends and family to wear Sesame, Disney, superhero or blue shirts to both the viewing and funeral.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
