James P. Ahlborn

James P. Ahlborn died suddenly at home on January 5 in Shohola, PA. Jim was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Somerville for 30 years before moving to Shohola, PA in 1987. He was a former supervisor for Avdel Co. of Parsippany, NJ. and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge in Bridgewater. He was an avid JETS fan, loved to fish and enjoyed travelling with his wife, Linda and their beloved Alaskan Malamute, Taschee. Mr. Ahlborn graduated from Immaculate Conception School and was a 1974 graduate of Somerville High School. While residing in Pennsylvania he was a member of the St. Patrick RC Church in Milford. Surviving are his wife Linda, his parents William and Theresa Ahlborn of Somerville and his siblings William Ahlborn (wife Leslie), MaryJane Weeks (companion Bill Brophy), Dorothy Gonzalez (husband William) and Michael Ahlborn (wife Laura) and his nieces and nephews, Daniel, Liz, Melissa, Erin and Sean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Monday, January 10 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville followed by final prayers at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visiting hours are from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday, January 9 at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's memory to St. Patrick Church Building Fund, 111 E. High St., Milford, PA 18337
