Irene O. Lindenmuth

Irene O. Lindenmuth, 98, died peacefully on April 15, 2024.

Born in Hazelton, PA to the late Elwood and Mae Kunkel, she was raised in Weatherly, PA and was  a graduate of Weatherly High School. She met her late husband, Wayne Lindenmuth, and the two were married and settled to a small farm in South Bound Brook. The Lindenmuth's moved to Hillsborough in 1969 where they raised their two sons.

Irene was active in St. John's Lutheran Church in Bound Brook where she enjoyed volunteering. She was an avid NY Yankees Baseball fan and enjoyed cooking at home and spending time with her family. Irene spent time in her retirement watching Game Show Network where she participated from home in the Price is Right, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Irene liked to listen to Frank Sinatra and had a love for country music.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne Lindenmuth in 1995, her loving son Kevin Lindenmuth, her brother Teddy Kunkel, and sister in law Millie Kunkel.

Surviving are her loving son Perry Lindenmuth, her dear siblings, Edwin and Ruth, as well as her extended family.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at 10:00AM on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge.
