Howard B. Condo Jr. died Sunday, February 6, at Somerset Medical Center. Mr. Condo was a life long resident of Somerville. He began his career in education as a teacher for Middlesex High School and then for more than 35 years he was a Supervisor and Director of Business and Vocational Education for Hunterdon Central High School in Raritan Township retiring in 1998. While there at Hunterdon Central, he was active in the Future Farmers of America Association and the Association of Supervisors and Principals. Mr. Condo graduated from Trenton State College and also received his Masters Degree in Education from there as well. He was active in Somerville recreation when his children were growing up, serving as a softball and little league coach and in his community as a volunteer at Somerset Medical Center. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Esther (Lipoma) Condo, his two sons Joseph and his wife Karen and Howard III, two daughters Teresa Horowitz, her late husband Mark and Alice, his grandchildren Ashley, Caitlin, Joey and Anthony, many nieces and nephews, his sister in law and brother in law Rosemarie and Ray Peters. Mr. Condo's sister, Gloria DiMaggio, predeceased him. A Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, February 9 at St Ann's Church, 45 Anderson St., Raritan. Entombment to follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum, Bridgewater. Visiting hours are from 3pm to 5 pm and 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday, February 8 at the Cusick funeral home, 80 Mountain Ave, Somerville.
