Helen J. Wolferz, 88, a loving mother and grandmother died on Thursday January 12 at Somerset Valley Nursing Home. She was born July 11, 1923 in Newark at St. Barnabas Hospital and graduated from Irvington High School in 1941.

She was employed by Proctor and Gamble for many years, first in their Summit location then Springfield. In 1967, Mrs. Wolferz moved to Bridgewater , where she was an Avon Representative. Her pastimes included camping, spending time outdoors and visiting the Jersey Shore. Helen had many friends and will be missed dearly.

She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Julia Kalmar, her brother Alex Kalmar, and her husband Clark Wolferz.

Surviving are her son Thomas Kalmar and his wife Gail of Bridgewater, step sons Richard Wolferz and wife Linda of Asbury , Bruce Wolferz and wife Peggy of Neshanic and one step daughter Virginia Moffat and her husband Gary of Toms River.

She also had 7 grandchildren Tommy Jr., Julia, Richard Jr., Cody., Scott, Bruce Jr. and Sarah. A Memorial Service will be held 11am on Wednesday,January 18, at the Bradley Gardens Community Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning at a gathering in the Church beginning at 10am prior to Service.
