Helen T. Wierzbowski, 91 died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 under the wonderful care of Bridgeway Care Center, Bridgewater. She was a Fords, NJ resident for 67 years.
Helen was born on December, 1924 in Perth Amboy to Mary Jarczewska and Frank Bialecki. Helen graduated from Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing, currently Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. She was the RN Supervisor at the Perth Amboy General Hospital, currently Raritan Bay Medical Center, and later in her career she was an RN at the Nursing Home of Perth Amboy on Elm Street. Helen retired in 1997.
Helen was predeceased by a daughter, Celeste Wierzbowski Susino, her twin sister Dorothy Updegrave and brothers Alvin Bialecki and Robert Bialecki. She is survived by two sons Henry Wierzbowski, Millstone and Ronald and wife Terry Wierzbowski of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, a son-in-law, Charles Susino of Piscataway, five grandchildren Janet DeNunzio, Branchburg, Dana Susino, Pine Hill, Lauren Alaire, SanDiego, CA, Rachael Jones, Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Joseph Wierzbowski, Racho Cucamonga, CA and one great grandson Dominic DeNunzio.
Helen enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also had a green thumb in the garden. Helen devoted her entire life and care taking to her family. She will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Saturday, June 18, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Entombment to follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity in Helen's honor.
