Helen Loccisano

August 13, 1924 — January 13, 2025

Helen Loccisano, 100, died peacefully on January 13, 2025.

Born and raised in Bound Brook, to the late Frank and Valentina Kotwicki, she was a graduate of Bound Brook High School. Helen went on to work for American Cyanamid where she met the love of her life Amiel Loccisano. The two were married and settled in Bridgewater where they raised their family. Helen was fortunate enough to live on the same block as her two sisters. The families were all very close. They shared holidays and daily life together and raised their children as one extended family. Mrs. Loccisano stayed at home to raise her children, and was devoted to their development. The child of an immigrant mother, she somehow inherently knew how to support and encourage her children wholeheartedly. She had a natural artistic talent, which inspired her daughter into becoming a professional artist.

The family enjoyed summer vacations at the Jersey shore. Once her children were in college, she went back to work at American Cyanamid. She was incredibly proud of her son who served in the U. S. Navy and enjoyed his visits home and his willingness to drive Helen, her sisters and their husbands down to the casinos in Atlantic City. She loved Polka music, lottery tickets and laughing. She was known for her many Christmas cookies and the ability to make every family event and holiday feel special.

She was the last of her generation, being welcomed in Heaven by her siblings Mary Barr, Chesla Wechler, Anthony Kotwicki, and Walter Kotwicki, as well as by her beloved husband Amiel and cherished son Jeffrey.

Surviving are her loving daughter Karen Loccisano and husband Michael Palan, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
