Grace “Lella” Musmanno, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 12th surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 15, 1925 in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy she resided in North Plainfield since her marriage in 1945. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in North Plainfield, N.J., a member of the Rosary Society and past member of the Italian American Social Club in North Plainfield.
Lella enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were her specialty when she would cook and bake traditional Italian dishes for her family and friends.
Survived by a son, Albert Musmanno and his wife, Maxine, of South Plainfield; her daughter, Lil Musmanno of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Al Musmanno and his wife, Kelly, of Metuchen and Amy Emrich and her husband, Ed, of Marlton and her loving great-grandchildren, Jake and Zachary Musmanno and Eddie and Aiden Emrich. Her husband Albert predeceased her in 2009.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be missed by all.
Funeral services for will be held on Monday, April 16th at 8:45am from the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Jackson Ave., North Plainfield. Entombment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 15th, from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
