Geraldine Mary Accetta, age 80, formerly of Somerville NJ, died Tuesday, November 8th at the Green Knoll Center in Bridgewater NJ.

Mrs. Accetta, born May 2, 1936 in Plymouth PA, was the daughter of the late Anna (Sawka) and Edward Kizis. She attended Hanover Twp. High School and Wilkes Barre Business College.

Geri was the proud and caring mother of five children. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and crafting until she reentered the workforce in 1978; working for nearly a decade at Baker and Taylor of Somerville, NJ.

Geri will be fondly remembered in the community as one of the most knowledgeable agents at the Somerville branch of The New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles,where she retired in 2013 after two decades of service.

She is survived by five beloved children; son Dr. Christopher R. Accetta and his wife Joanne of Goose Creek, SC, daughter Elise A. and her husband William of Emmaus, PA, son Gregory R. Accetta and his wife Jocelyn of Hillsborough, NJ, son Paul L. Accetta and his wife Kristine of Atlanta, GA, daughter Nancy A. Accetta of Bethesda MD and nine cherished grandchildren; C. Matthew and W. Grant Accetta; William, Katharine , Elizabeth and Megan Smolinski; Nicholas and Rhiannon Accetta; and Andrew Katchen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a future date, at the convenience of the family. Per her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral. Her remains will be placed beside her parents at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery in Plymouth, PA.
