George M. Dousis died March 9 at Somerset Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and has been a resident of Hillsborough for 29 years. Mr. Dousis was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star as well as an Air Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters. His membership and hobbies included Life Member of Vietnam Veterans of America, photography and a model railroad enthusiast. Mr. Dousis was well known among New Jersey veterans for having his dioramic displays featured at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial in Holmdel and Lyons VA Hospital in Bernards Township. Surviving are his wife Linda (Davidson) Dousis, his stepson Ed Dabagian-Paul (wife Pat), three grandchildren Otto, Katie and George and his siblings Maria Kiernan and Paul Dousis. Visiting hours are from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday, March 13, at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville.
