Fred Schneider, 63, died on Friday, October 13th at RWJ Somerset. He was a lifelong Somerville resident and retired in May of 2016 from the US Postal Service in Bridgewater after 23 years. Fred was a man of few words who took great pride in his yard and enjoyed watching football, gambling, gardening, playing cards with friends and his trips to St. Martin.

He was predeceased by his parents Lambert and Anne, and his brothers Lambert and Eddie. Fred is survived by his wife Trish, mother-in-law Donna Garay, Lambert's wife Pat and their sons Bert (Anna), and Nick (Melissa) and Tricia's brothers and sisters; Donnie (Marian) and their children Anne Marie, David and Carolyn, Laurie Roche (George), Lynn Fesen (Rob), Michelle, Mark, Dale (Cindy) and their sons Evan and Brian, Tim, Chris and his son Max, and his lifelong and best friend Charlie Adler (TJB).

Visitation Tuesday, October 17 from 5-9pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Please dress casually. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am Wednesday, October 18, at Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Followed by an interment at the New Cemetery, Somerville.
