Frank V. Montville, father of the late Robert Montville, died April 27 at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater. Mr. Montville was born in Laflin, PA and resided in Bridgewater for 60 years.

He retired from Union Carbide, Bound Brook, as an industrial mechanic after more than 30 years. After retiring, he provided transportation for Somerset County senior citizens and special needs passengers. A Navy Veteran of WW II, he served proudly as a Torpedo man aboard the USS Waldron in the Pacific Theatre. An active member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Frank served as a bingo captain and usher for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years this June, Elizabeth, a son Thomas Montville, grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Rebecca and a great grandson Elek. Also surviving are his siblings Adam Montville and Helen Verbyla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30am on Wednesday, May 1, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at the church cemetery on Union Avenue.
