Frank Marrone, 81, of Raritan, died peacefully on March 14, 2023.
Born in Somerville to the late Michael and Helen Marrone (nee Rinaldo), he was raised in Manville before moving to North Plainfield where he graduated high-school.
Mr. Marrone went on to become the lead chef at Bucky’s Restaurant in Bridgewater where in his thirteen years there shared his love of Italian cooking passed on from generations. Frank met the love of his life, Rosalie Cusati in 1963 cruising the streets of Somerville where she caught his eye. The two were married in 1967 and settled in Raritan where they raised their three boys. Their love blossomed for 55 beautiful years together.
Frank then worked for the former Cutari’s Restaurant for eight years before working as a custodian at Bridgewater Raritan High School until his retirement at the age of 64. He and his wife owned Great Performance Cleaning Services and enjoyed all the time spent together. They have fond memories at Lake George and their home in the Poconos. Frank enjoyed fishing with family and friends, always coming back with stories and dinner. His greatest love in life was his family, Christmas Eve dinner was his ritual, a legacy his family will never forget. His whole world was about his grandchildren, he never missed their baseball games, and enjoyed the quality time spent together.
He was preceded in death by his dear son, Dion Marrone and his loving sister, Victoria.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Rosalie Marrone, his loving son Dean Marrone and wife Patricia, loving daughter in law, MaryAnne Marrone, and son Damian Marrone and wife Alyssa, and his cherished grandsons, Declan and Colton, as well as his extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
Family and friends are welcome to gather at 9:30AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the funeral home for a prayer service starting at 10:00 AM.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
