Elizabeth L. Zagari

Elizabeth L. Zagari, 83, died peacefully on September 17, 2023.

Born and raised in Somerville, NJ to the late Henry and Esther Sixt (nee Revere). She was a graduate of Somerville High School. Elizabeth went on to marry the love of her life, Joseph Zagari, and the two settled in Somerville where they raised their family. They would have been married for 63 years this October.

Mrs. Zagari spent her 30 year career with Mack Trucks in Bridgewater, NJ as an Administrative Assistant before her retirement in 2002. She was a parishioner of The Church of The Immaculate Conception in Somerville. Elizabeth and her husband retired to Barnegat, NJ in 2003. They lived in the Mirage Community where she was on the committee of the Social Club, a member of the Red Hat Society and other groups.

She enjoyed spending time at the shore as well as the lake. Time spent with her family and friends were important to her. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing mahjong and was in a bowling league with her husband.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Joseph Zagari, her loving children Michael Zagari and wife Kerri, and Mark Zagari, her adored grandchildren Ashley, Maya and Miles, as well as her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023, at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
