Elizabeth Rita Bovaird

Elizabeth Rita Bovaird, 78, died peacefully on January 21, 2026.

Born and raised in East Orange to the late Charles and Eileen Bovaird, nee LaTendresse, they settled in Somerset, where she was a graduate of St. Peter’s in New Brunswick. She met her husband, married in 1971, and remained in Somerset to raise their family.

Elizabeth worked for RCHP as an administrator for many years before working for PVH. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading, watching British TV, old westerns, and the theater.

Elizabeth was devoted to her family; she reminisced about enjoying sherry in the afternoon with her mother. She loved chocolate and enjoyed quality time with her family over a good meal.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Lauren Christie and husband Curt, and Rebecca Rounds-Burger and husband Scott; her grandsons Austin, Travis, Logan, and Curtis; her sister Margaret “Peggy” Vary and husband John; nephew Darrelle; and niece Meredith.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.
