Eleanore M. Zito, 88 peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 20, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in New York City and attended Cathedral High School. Eleanore then attended St. Joseph's School of Practical Nursing in Yonkers, NY and worked as a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, Yonkers, NY prior to marrying in 1958.
After moving to Somerset County in the mid-1960s, Eleanore worked for a number of different companies including Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson) from which she retired in 1996. She participated in a number of church organizations and volunteered her time to the church in numerous capacities. She always saw the bright side, always had a smile on her face, and was at her best when helping others. She will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank Zito, as well as her four older siblings Theresa Falcon, Rudy Geitner, Rev. John Geitner, and Albert Geitner.
