Born in East Orange, NJ, to the late Arthur and Roberta Buser (née Holmes), Eleanor grew up in Berkeley Heights, where she attended Jonathan Dayton High School. Richelo, Sr. The two married in 1954 after Eleanor graduated in 1952, settling in Springfield, NJ, to build a beautiful life together.
Eleanor and James ran the Gage Poultry Farm while raising their four children. A devout Catholic and avid reader, Eleanor was known for her warm heart, sharp wit, and love of family gatherings, hosting unforgettable celebrations for birthdays and holidays.
Her adventurous spirit was evident in her passion for travel. Eleanor and James explored the world together, visiting Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Mexico, and France. Each trip was meticulously documented in stunning scrapbooks she lovingly created, ensuring their memories lived on for generations.
A master of crochet, Eleanor poured her love into custom gifts that brought joy to countless recipients. But her greatest pride and joy were her four children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eleanor shared an extraordinary bond with her only daughter, Donna, with whom she lived until her passing. More than mother and daughter, they were inseparable best friends.
