Eleanor F. DeMott died January 22 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset. Miss DeMott was born in Jim Thorpe, PA and resided in Somerville for 80 years. She retired after 29 years as the Church Secretary for the Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville working primarily for the late Pastor, Monsignor Eugene B. Kelly.

A 1944 graduate of St. Peter's High School, New Brunswick, Eleanor was a member of the Somerset County Senior Women's Group, the Raritan Valley Art Association, a daily communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and a tireless volunteer at the Blessed Sacrament Shrine in Raritan.

She was predeceased by her siblings Robert DeMott, Anne Brower, Katherine Scherdin and Josephine Pranzatelli. She is survived by several nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, January 28, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at church cemetery. Visitation will precede the Mass beginning at 9am till 10:30am on Monday at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
