Dr. John H. O'Connor Jr.

Dr. John H. O'Connor, Jr., of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on June 21st, 2015 at Long Island State Veteran's Home in Stony Brook, NY.
He was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts on January 16, 1931. He was 84 years old.

John served in the Army and was honorably discharged before going on to receive his doctorate degree in General Dentistry, from the University of Indiana. He later moved to Bridgewater, NJ with his beloved wife June, who predeceased him in 1998, where he established his dental practice. He remained there for 46 years, practicing dentistry for 38 of those years, before moving to Stony Brook, NY in 2013.

John is survived by his children Holly (O'Connor) Hricko and her husband John, of Nicholson, Pa., his son Dr. John H. O'Connor, III and his wife Debra, of Clinton Twsp.,NJ
his wife of 13 years Margaret (Hayes) O'Connor, and his loving grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Jack, Ryan, Kayla and Cole.

Visting hours will be held at Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville, NJ on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and again on Saturday, June 27 from 9:30 to 10:30am.

A Funeral Service will begin at 10:30am at the funeral home followed by burial at Bound Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Matheny Medical and Educational Center, 65 Highland Ave. Peapack, NJ, where John's grandson Ryan is a student.
