Dr. Frances Craig

Dr. Frances Craig, a Doctor of Music, died November 30. Dr. Craig was born in Tompkinville, NY and resided in Somerville for 30 years before moving to Bridgewater in 1962. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Henry (MD) and Dora Craig and and sister of her late twin Dr. Eleanor Craig and Warren Craig.

Dr. Craig was a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and went on to earn her Doctorate in music at Boston University. A well known teacher of piano and organ, Dr. Craig performed with her sister, Eleanor, throughout this area and the East coast. Her noted teachers included Dr. Virgil Fix and Dr. Charlotte Garden.

Surviving are her cousins Dorothy Everett, Judy Coates, Loretta Crate, Letittia Muller, Charles and Miller Craig and a dear friend Dorothy Kotalic. Visiting will begin 11am on Monday, December 3, concluding with a Funeral Service at Noon at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Interment to follow at Pluckemin Cemetery.
