Dr. Joseph Bogusky Dds

Dr. Joseph Bogusky died on June 14, 2016 at his home in Bridgewater. He was born in Plymouth, PA, and was the youngest of seven children. Dr. Bogusky was an All-State basketball player for Plymouth High School, PA and continued playing varsity basketball at the Ohio State University. His college studies were interrupted by his enlistment in the US Army during WW II, however, after his Honorable Discharge, he completed his undergraduate degree at OSU and then onto complete his DDS degree at the University of Pittsburgh Dental School in 1957.

He subsequently moved to Bridgewater and has lived there since 1965. Dr. Bogusky had a private practice in Elizabeth for 33 years, and upon that retirement, started working at the Dental Division of the State of New Jersey Health and Benefits in Trenton. He finished his dental career in 2009 and worked as a dental consultant for the Delta Dental Insurance Company located in Parsippany.

Dr. Bogusky is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ellen Sawicki Bogusky, his loving sons, J.Clayton Bogusky, his wife Dr. Fern Halper of New York State, and Hugh A. Bogusky, Bridgewater. He had two granddaughters: Katharine Stanley Halper-Bogusky and Lindsay Halper-Bogusky both of Manhattan,NY.
