Doris E. Loughlin, a life long resident of Somerville, died December 19. Doris retired in 1989 after 43 years as a service representative for NJ Bell Telephone Co., now Verizon. A 1945 graduate.of Somerville High School and served as a member of the 1945 Class Reunion Planing Committee there. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a devoted volunteer at the Immaculate Conception School library in Somerville as well as the American Red Cross. Doris enjoyed knitting, traveling and watching her beloved New York Yankees. Surviving are nieces and nephews Sandra Studdiford of Branchburg, John Studdiford of Far Hills, James Studdiford of Lithia, Fl., Mary Studdiford of Dewitt, NY and Michael Studdiford of Lithia, Fl., 4 great nephews, 4 great nieces and 6 godchildren. Visiting from 8:30am till 10am on Thursday, December 22, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment church cemetery. Memorial donations in Doris's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
