Doreen Ayala Oakes, 47, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Henry Rodriguez and paternal grandparents, Juan Ayala and Crucita Miranda. Doreen is survived by her adored children, Tyler, Kayla, Brandon, Mason and Lillee; loving parents, Nilda and Jose Ayala; loving grandmother, Mercedes Rodriguez; Doreen is also survived by her dear siblings John Ayala and Linda Marton, bother-in-law Glenn Marton; loving niece and nephew, Marissa and Derek Marton; her dear husband Jay Oakes; along with many other cherished family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Doreen was a graduate of Temple University dance program and a devoted member of United Presbyterian Church in Belvidere, NJ. She was a beautiful person inside and out who loved dancing, capturing life’s beautiful memories through photographs and spending time with her deeply cherished family and friends. Doreen will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Her children were the light of her life and her memory will live on through them.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5pm-8pm on Friday, July 10, concluding with a prayer service being offered at 8pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ.
