Diane M Banino

Diane M. Banino, 91, of Hillsborough, died peacefully on March 9, 2023.

Born in Bronx, New York, to the late Robert and Ercolina Banino, nee Cossavella, at five years old she spent time on her family farm in Hillsborough, a place that held a special place in her heart throughout her lifetime. Her family settled back to Corona, Queens, New York, where she graduated high school.

Diane spent time working for a temp agency in New York which led her to positions at American Steel, and then Citibank, where she worked as an Official Assistant until her retirement at 65.

She adored animals, especially her dog Gigi. Diane was a member of the Senior Citizens Group A of Hillsborough. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are many cousins, friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at St. Joseph Church, 34 Yorktown Road, Hillsborough.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00AM.

Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Somerset.
