Dennis G. Hollod died February 11 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Somervillle and has been a resident here for the past 30 years. Mr. Hollod was the Director of Technology for Innovative Educational Programs in Basking Ridge and was a former 20 year employee for AT&T. His community involvement included being a former member of the South Bound Brook Rescue Squad, a Somerville Little League Baseball Coach, and for more than 15 years the statistician for the Immaculata High School varsity football team. Mr. Hollod graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School and later Wilkes University,PA, where he received his BA in Psychology. A devoted husband, father and grandfather and a little less devoted die hard METS baseball fan, he is survived by his wife Dorothea (Memoli) Hollod, his children Kristine Gibson (husband Chris), Timothy and Steven, his grandchildren Alexa and Brianna, his mother Mary Hollod and the late George Hollod and a sister Diane Crupi (husband Anthony). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, February 14, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Wednesday, February 13, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
