David Somonski

David W. Somonski, age 60, died on August 5, 2023, after battling cancer.

Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stanley V and AnnMarie Somonski, nee Sloan, he moved to Somerville, NJ at the age of fifteen.

David made Somerville NJ his home where he lived out the rest of his life.

He began working in construction and became a self-employed contractor. David was a master at flooring, tiling and carpeting.

He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. David was a fan of the New York Mets, New York Jets, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was kind to animals, especially cats, he would feed strays and build shelters. Most of all, he loved spending time together with his family.

He was preceded in death by his dear sister Nancy Milo

Surviving are his loving daughter Amanda Somonski and fiancé Joseph Smith, and cherished granddaughter Layla.

His son, David Somonski wife Alyssa, and cherished grandchildren, Jaxon, Ella, with another grandson on the way.

His dear siblings Robert, Anja and Stanley. His niece Lynda, His nephew Stanley, and loving cousin Michael Girardi and wife Tina.

His beloved cats Sneakers, Raven, Buddy, and Pretty.

He was a fun loving and caring guy who will be missed by many.
