David F. Lambert

May 29, 1939 — October 19, 2025

Hillsborough

David F. Lambert, 86, died peacefully on October 19, 2025. Born in Princeton and raised in Somerville, he was a 1957 graduate of Somerville High School. While there, he met the love of his life, Carolyn. The two were married in 1960 and lived in Raritan. In 1963, the two moved to Indianapolis where David served his country in the United States Army. After the birth of their son in 1965, David was honorably discharged and he and his wife and son returned to New Jersey. David and Carolyn welcomed a daughter in 1966 and then settled in Hillsborough where he resided until his death.

David was a hard worker. He began working at RCA after his high school graduation and was later self- employed as a landscaper. He attended Seton Hall at night and eventually went on to become a warehouse supervisor. In his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed attending community events selling his homemade Italian ice. David was also a communicant of Mary Mother of God Church and proudly served as an usher for the congregation.

David cherished his family and was committed to supporting his children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. Some of his favorite memories included leading a 4-H group, attending his children’s and grandchildren’s school events, enjoying 50’s music and visiting the family home at the beach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Biggs and his beloved wife, Carolyn Gerard Lambert in 2022.

Surviving are his loving children, Daniel Lambert, and his wife, Therese and his daughter, Jean Hyatt and her husband, Paul and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Diana, Benjamin and Ella.
