Cosmo Germinario

​August 14, 1930 – March 30, 2021

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Cosmo Germinario, 90, passed away at home on Tuesday surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Molfetta, Italy, and has resided in Somerset County, NJ since 1971. Cosmo is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria.

Cosmo was an outgoing and witty man, and was loved by all who knew him. He worked for Devro in Somerville for many years, until his retirement in the 1990s. He worked hard all of his life to provide for his family, and was very proud of it. Cosmo was a skilled woodworker and craftsman; there was no project he couldn’t tackle. He was always there with a hammer and a saw when you needed him. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Francesca (Greg) and Joanna (Joe). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren whom he was very proud of, and 2 great granddaughters whose pictures decorated his home with love. He leaves behind his sister Dora in Molfetta, Italy, his loyal companion Ellen, as well as many friends at the Somerset County Senior Wellness Center.

Visitation will be held at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville, on Monday, April 5, 9:30-10:30am. Christian Mass and Burial Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cosmo’s name to your favorite charity.
