Constance Ladd

Constance Mary (Burke) Ladd, age 88, passed away peacefully April 17, 2021. A New Jersey native, she was born June 27, 1932. She was married to her longtime friend and love, Robert F. Ladd, Sr. for over 40 years, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Connie, as she was known to her family and friends, had a rich and active social life. She enjoyed her knitting club, exercise classes and Bible study groups. She learned how to play mahjong and enjoyed hosting games in her home with her friends.

Connie also enjoyed swimming and heading down the shore for vacations with her family. Later in her life, she enjoyed heading to Emerald Isle, NC for a weekly beach vacation with family, including many of her grandchildren.

Prior to her retirement, Connie had a long and successful career as an administrative assistant for companies such as Young & Rubicam, Hoechst Celenese and Sanofi.

With all her personal and professional accomplishments, Connie would say her pride, joy and blessings have been her family. She is survived by her seven children, Cindy Stage (Chuck), Robert Ladd, Jr. (Mary), Jim Ladd (Sue), Cathy Rodgers (Brooke), Mary Lauria (David), Beth James (Guy) and Susan Ladd (Eric Monsen). She was blessed to have 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way, along with her many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Please join us celebrating her life with a Mass of Christian Burial 11am on Friday, April 23, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville. Interment to follow at Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough. Visiting will begin at 10am before Mass on Friday at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/
