Colleen Mary Dunn, 73, died peacefully on March 17, 2023, at her home in Flagtown.
Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York to the late William E. Jr. and Ruth M. Dunn (nee Herdman), she grew up in Long Island and Florida, before her family settled to Flagtown when she was twelve, where she resided for the rest of her life.
Colleen was a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1968 and went on to work for Wakefern Shop Rite Company. She held many positions within the company and retired after dedicating forty years serving the community and making lifelong friends.
Colleen was a proud mother, sister, daughter, and aunt; but her favorite title of all was Gigi. She adored her grandson and the quality time they spent together. She enjoyed Bingo and puzzles, watching NASCAR, the NY Mets and NY Giants, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Gary Morrow Jr. her godson Jason Waida, as well as her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear loved ones.
Surviving are her loving daughter Barbara Ann Dunn-Tomasco and husband Richard Jr., her cherished grandson Nicholas Tomasco, her sister Denise Morrow and husband Gary, her nieces and nephews, Mary(Kelly) Smoak and their daughter Sarah (Denis) Durning and their children, Ophelia and Cleopatra, Dennis (Raven) Morrow and their daughter Rylee, Jennifer Deming and her children Austin and Kailey, David (Agnieszka) Deming who was like a son to her, and her caregiver and close family friend Antonio Lopes who was with her to the end, as well as her many other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00AM - 11:00AM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville with a prayer service at 11:00AM.
Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner St, Flemington.
